Dr. Dharmenaan Palamuthusingam is a consultant nephrologist at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and is the clinical lead for Acute services and Acute Kidney Injury. Dr. Palamuthusingam holds an academic appointment as a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Medicine with both the University of Queensland and Griffith University. He is currently undertaking his PhD with University of Queensland looking at the perioperative outcomes and risk assessment of people on chronic dialysis and kidney transplant recipients who undergo surgery. Dr. Palamuthusingam also has interests in data-linkage and the use of routine hospital datasets for clinical research. He has presented his research at national and international conferences and has received both local and national awards for his work.
